Big Ambitions Achievements: All 126 With Unlock Rates

Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Steam Big Ambitions

Big Ambitions has 126 achievements: 41 families with bronze, silver and gold tiers, which accounts for 123, plus three hidden achievements with no published description. This page lists every one of them, with the exact tier threshold and the global unlock rate Steam reported on 8 September 2026, eleven days after the 1.0 release.

The totals are confirmed from two separate Steam endpoints, the store API and the public achievement stats page, and both return 126.

How to read the percentages

The percentage attached to each achievement is Steam's global unlock rate: the share of accounts that own the game and have that achievement. Three caveats matter more here than on most games.

It is a live figure and it moves. Everything below is a snapshot dated 8 September 2026. Rates for 1.0 content will climb over the coming months as players reach it. Rates for early achievements barely move at all.

The denominator is inflated by Early Access. Big Ambitions spent around three years in Early Access before 1.0 on 28 August 2026, and PC Gamer reported 150,000 copies sold in its first two weeks back in 2023. Every one of those accounts counts in the denominator whether or not they have launched the 1.0 build. That structurally suppresses the numbers for anything added recently, so a 0.1 per cent achievement is not necessarily hard, it may simply be new.

The text itself is still changing. The first 1.0 patch, Builds 3672 and 3674 on 1 September 2026, closes its achievement section with the line "We have a few more achievement fixes coming in the next patch!". The 1.0 changelog itself says the team "Adjusted a few achievements to be a little more realistic like Aging and the Casino Winnings", and an earlier Early Access build explicitly "Lowered Casino ('Lucky Potato') achievement requirements". Thresholds on this page are correct as captured; if yours differ, the game has been patched since.

What 1.0 changed

The official 1.0 changelog states plainly: 27 new achievements. It does not say which 27, and no other source names them, so this page does not publish a list. What can be said without guessing is that three families depend on features that did not exist before 1.0, so they cannot be older than it:

FamilyDepends on1.0 feature
Just Tap It InHalcyon Fairway golf rangeRequires a house in the Hamptons
A Game of LoveA Racket of Love tennis courtRequires a house in the Hamptons
They See Me Rollin'Onyx Luxury ChauffeursThe new private driver service

The rarest achievements, and what they tell you

Eleven tiered achievements sit at 0.1 per cent, which is the floor Steam displays. The three hidden ones sit there too, for fourteen achievements at the floor in total.

AchievementRequirementUnlock rate
Arch-nemesis, all three tiersDefeat 1, 2 and all 4 Special Rivals0.1% each
Just Tap It In, all three tiersScore 250, 500, 750 in one golf game0.1% each
A Game of Love, all three tiersWin 1, 2, 3 tennis matches0.1% each
Oh, the Places You'll Go, goldHire and schedule 100 travel agents0.1%
Party Planning Committee, goldHire and schedule 100 event planners0.1%
They See Me Rollin', bronzeUse your private driver 10 times1.4%

Two things fall out of that. First, the golf and tennis families are flat across all three tiers, which means almost everybody who reaches the minigame at all also clears its hardest tier. The barrier is not skill, it is the Hamptons house that gates access to both venues. Second, the private driver bronze tier asks for ten rides and only 1.4 per cent of owners have managed it. Ten rides is not a grind. That figure is the clearest available evidence that the 1.0 feature set has barely been touched by the wider playerbase yet, which is also why guides for these systems are still thin.

Arch-nemesis is worth a separate note. Its gold tier reads "Defeat all 4 Special Rivals", which independently confirms the number of Special Rivals at four. That is a useful cross-check on community documentation rather than a repetition of it.

Product Pusher bronze, at 75.9 per cent, is the most-earned achievement in the game: open one retail business. The gold tier of the same family, thirty retail businesses, sits at 1.5 per cent. That fifty-fold drop inside a single family is the sharpest illustration of where players actually stop.

Party Planning CommitteeEvent planners hired and scheduled5251001.5 / 0.4 / 0.1%

Employee of the Month gold, at 32.0 per cent, is the most-earned gold tier in the game. It also settles a mechanical question: employee skill runs on a 0 to 100 per cent scale, since the three tiers are 50, 75 and 100 per cent. More on the roles themselves under staff.

The travel agent and event planner families are the two office types added in Early Access 0.11, and their unlock rates are an order of magnitude below the older office roles. Compare Right and Wrong bronze at 22.8 per cent with Oh, the Places You'll Go bronze at 1.3 per cent.

They See Me Rollin'Private driver used10251001.4 / 1.1 / 0.7%

Expensive Drops is the oddity here. Only 2.6 per cent of owners have spent $1,000 on fuel, which is far below the 31.2 per cent who own a car worth at least $15,000. Buying cars is common; driving them enough to burn through fuel is not. See vehicles for what each dealership sells, and note that this site does not publish vehicle prices or cargo figures, because the only table that carries them is demonstrably corrupted. That is covered on myths.

Property, boats and interiors

The SailerBoats owned25101.6 / 0.7 / 0.5%

Private Mansion is a useful cross-check on the building code system. Its three thresholds of 90, 200 and 500 m² line up with the three largest residential codes documented by the community wiki at 96, 204 and 589 m², which is two independent lines of evidence pointing at the same ladder. More on that under real estate.

Sea Bling has the strangest ladder in the game. Bronze asks for a boat worth $2,500,000 and silver for $3,000,000, a step of only 20 per cent, and then gold jumps to $90,000,000. The unlock rates track it exactly: 3.7 and 2.7 per cent are close together, then gold still holds 1.4 per cent.

Another One is flat at 0.2 per cent across all three tiers, and that flatness is the point: reaching your 70th in-game birthday is the hard part, and anyone who gets there almost always keeps the save running to 100. The 1.0 changelog names Aging as one of the families it rebalanced to be "more realistic", so these thresholds are current 1.0 values rather than Early Access ones.

Lucky Potato is the opposite case. An Early Access build lowered its requirements outright, and the 1.0 changelog names Casino Winnings as rebalanced again. The $50,000, $250,000 and $1,000,000 figures above are the post-1.0 values as captured.

The three hidden achievements

AchievementDescriptionUnlock rate
BullseyeNone published0.1%
Hostile TakeoverNone published0.1%
Pound SandNone published0.1%

Steam shows these three with names but no description text. No source publishes their conditions, so this page states none. Any guide that gives you a confident unlock method for Bullseye, Hostile Takeover or Pound Sand is guessing.

Where to spend your time

The percentage spread is a decent proxy for effort. If you want the achievement count up quickly, the families where gold stays within reach of bronze are Employee of the Month, at 32.0 per cent for a single 100 per cent skill, Your Best Friend at 24.9 per cent for 90 Uncle Fred objectives, Boss Man at 16.4 per cent for 100 staff, and Money Maker at 15.7 per cent for one business clearing $250,000 a week. Each of those golds is held by more owners than most rival families' silvers.

The families that punish you are the ones counting locations rather than money: Product Pusher gold at thirty retail businesses, Bricks and Mortar gold at thirty buildings owned, Carpark gold at forty vehicles. All three fall below 1.6 per cent.

Change log

  • 8 September 2026: Page created. All 126 achievements captured from Steam's public stats page on 8 September 2026, grouped into 41 tiered families plus three hidden entries, with thresholds and global unlock rates. Percentages are a live figure and will drift.

Frequently asked questions

How many achievements does Big Ambitions have?

126. That total is confirmed twice over by Steam: the store API reports 126, and the public achievement stats page lists 126 entries. They break down into 41 families with bronze, silver and gold tiers, which is 123, plus three hidden achievements that carry no description at all. The 1.0 changelog states that 27 of the 126 were added at full release.

What is the rarest achievement in Big Ambitions?

Eleven tiered achievements sit at 0.1 per cent, the lowest figure Steam displays: all three Arch-nemesis tiers, all three Just Tap It In golf tiers, all three A Game of Love tennis tiers, plus the gold tiers of Oh, the Places You'll Go and Party Planning Committee. The three hidden achievements also show 0.1 per cent, for fourteen achievements at the floor in total. Those are global unlock rates as of 8 September 2026 and they will rise as more players reach 1.0 content.

Which achievements were added in 1.0?

The official 1.0 changelog says '27 new achievements' but does not name them, so this page does not publish a list of 27. What can be stated safely is that the golf, tennis and private driver achievements require features that shipped with 1.0 on 28 August 2026, so they cannot predate it. The same changelog also says a few achievements were rebalanced, naming Aging and Casino Winnings.

Are the achievement descriptions final?

Not yet. The first 1.0 patch, Builds 3672 and 3674 on 1 September 2026, ends its achievement section with 'We have a few more achievement fixes coming in the next patch!' Earlier builds also lowered the Lucky Potato casino requirements and fixed interior design and Hoarder achievements that were not firing. Treat every threshold on this page as accurate to the 8 September 2026 capture.

Why are the unlock percentages so low for the new content?

Two reasons stack. Steam calculates global percentages across everyone who owns the game, and Big Ambitions spent roughly three years in Early Access, so the denominator includes a large population that stopped playing long before 1.0 existed. On top of that, golf and tennis both require you to buy a house in the Hamptons first, which is a very late-game purchase.

Can you get achievements in story mode?

Yes. Achievements unlock in story mode as well as free play, and the Your Best Friend family exists specifically to track story progress, awarding bronze, silver and gold for completing 30, 60 and 90 of Uncle Fred's objectives. It is one of the most-earned families in the game, with 24.9 per cent of owners holding the gold tier.
